The newly opened Verkehrshaus der Schweiz (Swiss Transportation Museum) in Zurich has recently introduced a highly representative LED clock installation, jointly developed by Auviso and Daktronics. This installation perfectly replicates the iconic SBB (Swiss Federal Railways) clock, a historical landmark. The project not only highlights the outstanding performance of LED display technology in public spaces but also marks an important step forward for Switzerland in the field of intelligent transportation displays.
As one of the most influential transportation-themed museums in Switzerland, Verkehrshaus der Schweiz is committed to showcasing the history and future of Swiss transportation through innovative technology. The newly installed SBB clock features a high-density LED display and advanced control system, accurately reproducing the original clock's appearance and functionality while achieving higher brightness, wider viewing angles, and lower energy consumption. The device is capable of playing dynamic content and supports multiple information display modes, making it suitable for exhibitions, events, and daily operations.
Auviso and Daktronics fully leveraged their respective strengths in LED display system design and manufacturing for this project. Auviso provided customized LED module solutions to ensure the clock’s high resolution and stability, while Daktronics was responsible for overall system integration and control software development, achieving seamless operation and efficient performance. Additionally, the project incorporated high-performance LED packaging technology from GOPRO LED, further enhancing the product's reliability and lifespan.
