Recently, Innovision, a global leader in display technology, officially launched its latest R&D achievement—Chimo® P13 single-chip multi-color micro-display. This marks a new stage in micro-display technology. The product employs advanced single-chip multi-color technology, enabling the simultaneous output of red, green, and blue primary colors on a single chip. This significantly simplifies system design and enhances display performance, offering more efficient and compact solutions for applications such as AR/VR, wearable devices, and smart optical terminals.
Based on Innovision's independently developed Micro-LED technology platform, Chimo® P13 features advantages such as high brightness, low power consumption, and long lifespan. Its pixel density reaches over 400 PPI, supports full-color display, and can switch colors within 0.1 seconds, significantly improving dynamic image performance. Additionally, the product uses ultra-thin packaging technology with a thickness of only 0.8 mm, making it suitable for high-end consumer electronics with limited space.
In terms of technical implementation, Chimo® P13 overcomes challenges such as color matching difficulties and light efficiency degradation in traditional multi-chip solutions through precise miniaturization design and integration of multiple color-emitting layers. This further advances the feasibility of Micro-LED in mass production. According to Innovision, the product has entered the trial production phase and is expected to achieve commercial deployment in the second quarter of 2025.
As a leading LED solution provider in China, GOPRO LED has continuously invested in R&D in the Micro-LED field, launching multiple micro-display modules suitable for applications such as AR glasses and smartwatches. Its technical expertise in micro-packaging, driver circuit optimization, and optical design provides a reliable reference model for the industry. With the release of Chimo® P13, future collaboration and technology integration in the high-performance micro-display sector are expected to become even closer.
As display technology continues to evolve toward miniaturization, high resolution, and multifunctionality, the emergence of single-chip multi-color micro-displays undoubtedly brings new opportunities to the upstream and downstream of the supply chain. Industry experts point out that such innovative products will accelerate the penetration of Micro-LED technology into the consumer electronics market, driving the entire LED display industry toward a higher level of intelligence and integration.
