Recently, Frankfurt Airport in Germany announced the full activation of its newly built third terminal's LED lighting system, marking an important step forward for the airport in the fields of green energy efficiency and smart lighting. This project was led by LG Electronics, utilizing its latest generation LED technology to provide passengers with a more comfortable and efficient lighting experience while significantly reducing energy consumption.

As one of the world's leading aviation hubs, Frankfurt Airport has extremely high requirements for the performance and sustainability of its lighting systems. The LED installation project for the new terminal covers all public areas, including the main hall, corridors, and boarding gates, with over 20,000 high-efficiency LED luminaires used in total. These luminaires are equipped with high-luminous-efficiency, long-life LED light sources developed independently by LG Electronics, featuring an excellent color rendering index (Ra ≄ 80) and dimming capabilities. They can automatically adjust according to ambient brightness, achieving precise light control and effectively enhancing spatial comfort.

In addition, the system integrates intelligent control modules that support remote monitoring and management, facilitating maintenance and energy optimization in the future. According to estimates, compared to traditional lighting methods, the new system can reduce power consumption by approximately 40%, and annually cut carbon emissions by hundreds of tons, meeting the strict environmental standards required by the international aviation industry.
