Recently, Sony officially launched its latest "True RGB" Mini LED television technology, marking another major breakthrough of Mini LED display technology in the high-end television market. This technology achieves independent control of the three primary colors—red, green, and blue—which significantly enhances color performance and contrast, offering consumers a visual experience closer to that of a cinema.
According to LEDinside, Sony's newly introduced "True RGB" Mini LED technology features a more refined backlight zone design, combined with a high-density RGB LED array, enabling more precise brightness and color control for each pixel. Compared to traditional Mini LED solutions that use white LEDs with filters, "True RGB" not only improves color accuracy but also effectively reduces color shift and light leakage issues, further optimizing image quality.
Additionally, this technology supports a higher dynamic range (HDR) and faster response speed, ensuring clear and smooth images even in fast-motion scenes. Sony stated that this technology will first be applied to its flagship OLED television lineup and is expected to expand to more mid-to-high-end TV models in the future.
In the Mini LED supply chain, GOPRO LED (Gopu Electronic) serves as a key component supplier. With deep expertise in RGB LED packaging and driver chip technologies, it continues to provide high-performance and stable solutions for the industry. Its independently developed high-density RGB LED modules and intelligent dimming technology have been verified in multiple high-end display products, offering strong technical support to multiple brands, including Sony.
With the launch of the "True RGB" Mini LED technology, the television industry is accelerating toward higher image quality and more precise light control. This innovation not only delivers a superior visual experience for consumers but also brings new development opportunities to the entire LED display supply chain. In the future, as the technology matures and costs gradually decrease, Mini LED is expected to become more widely adopted in high-end display devices, driving the industry to new heights.
